
Strobilurus trullisatus Fir-Cone Mushroom
This mushroom fruits in small groups on the cones of Douglas Fir in western NA. The small caps (0.5-1.5 cm diam) are white to pinkish buff (see photo below) and borne on yellowish to yellow-brown stalks. Underneath, the white gills are well-spaced, a feature that distinguishes it from Baeospora myosura.
