Lycoperdon curtisii         Curtis’s Puffball

Fruitbodies are globose to somewhat flattened, up to 2 cm across, sterile base lacking, white, ageing brown, with persistent spines. The spore mass is olive-brown. Common and widespread, it fruits in grassy places in small clusters.
