Suillus brevipes       Short-Stalked Bolete

Caps are 5-10 cm across, smooth, slimy, and rust-brown to cinnamon. Flesh is white becoming yellow, not staining.   Tubes are  up to 10 mm deep, dingy yellow, and age brownish. Stalks are up to 5 cm tall, white becoming yellowish, especially near the apex.  Pores are 1-2 per mm. Spore prints are  cinnamon.  it fruits under pines. Edible.
