Vibrissea truncorum

Fruitbodies are up to 12 mm tall. Caps are yellow to orange-yellow and hemisphaerical. Stalks are downy to irregularly bumpy, white at first but become dotted with black, especially near the base. Widespread and not uncommon, this fungus fruits in spring and early summer on twigs and branches in shallow streams.
