
Hygrocybe ceracea
Caps are small, 5-25 mm across, convex to shallow convex, with depressed centre, orange-yellow to lemon-yellow, dry to sticky, thin, and striate. Gills are yellow, broadly attached to decurrent, and far apart. Stalks are up to 4 cm tall, slender, and coloured as the cap. Spore prints are white. Rarely recorded, this small but attractive species fruits on the ground in mixed woods.
