Hygrocybe laeta Caps are 1.5-3 cm, slimy when wet, smooth, convex to flat and centrally depressed or umbilicate, with striate margin, carrot-orange, sometimes with olivaceous tinge, and fading to apricot-yellow with a pale orange margin. Gills are decurrent, yellow to orange-yellow or greenish-yellow, or whitish. Stalks are up to 10 cm tall, 2-5 mm wide, apricot-yellow to pinkish buff, slimy, and smooth. Spore prints are white. Widespread and not uncommon, it fruits on the ground in moist grassy spots in woods. |
