Pholiota granulosa

Caps are 1-3.5 cm, convex to broadly convex, dry, yellowish brown base, covered with tiny dark brown scales, scales flatter towards margin, with remnants of yellowish veil at or near near margin. Gills are attached, close, yellow, and become brown and spotted. Rings disappear. Stalks are up to 5 cm tall by 3 mm wide, scurvy, pale yellow, and darker below. Widespread and not uncommon, this small distinctive Pholiota fruits on logs and stumps of hardwoods and conifers.
