Tricholoma  myomyces

Caps are 2-7 cm across, dry, fibre-streaked, convex to flat, knobbed, grey to grey-brown or dark grey. Flesh is thin and white. Gills are attached, close, and white. Stalks areup to 6 cm tall by 4-8 mm broad and white to grey. Spore prints are white. Widespread and common, it fruits under conifers, usually late in the year after the first frost.  Very similar to Tricholoma terreum but according to authorities this latter species does not occur in North America.    Not edible by reason of lack of information..
