Tricholoma virgatum

Caps are 3-8 cm, dry, streaked with dark fibrils, conic to bell-shaped expanding to convex with a shaply pointed umbo, and pale grey to slate-grey or grey- brown. Gills are attached, close, and white. Stalks are up to 10 cm tall by 1.5 cm broad, white, and smooth or fibrous. Spore prints are white. Widespread and common, it fruits under conifers. Not edible.
