Mucronella bresadolae            Icicle Fungus

The fruitbodies form icicle-like spines, solitary or in clusters, arising directly from the substrate. The spines are white, up to 4 mm long, and taper to an acute point. Widespread but not common, Mucronella species fruit on well-rotted wood.
