Mycena strobilinoides

This is another of the common and attractive Mycena species found in the temperate rainforest of the Pacific Northwest.  It fruits under conifers and is easily recognized by its bright orange colour.   The caps are striate or folded at the margin giving a scalloped edge to the cap.  It fruits solitary, in clusters or in troops of thirty or more.
