GEOL *2110 is a 0.5 credit geology course for students who have taken introductory geology and want to learn more about the nature, classification and recognition of common rocks and minerals and their chemical/physical transformations. We apply mineralogy and geochemistry to understand the formation, alteration and decomposition of solid earth materials, with emphasis on surface processes.Participation in an organized weekend field trip is required.
