The purpose of this program is to teach people how to row and to fill out future varsity rowing teams by bringing in new talent. In the university rowing circuit you can only compete as a novice for one year so those people who finish the program can look onto trying out for the varsity rowing team or becoming a member of the Guelph Rowing Club.     For those who have been in a boat a few times before but have never raced, be sure to come out anyway. If there are enough people we'll split you off into a fast track session. |

|     When we may be outside, be sure to wear comfortable clothing but not pants or shorts that are too loose or baggy (rowers love spandex!) Dress for the weather (rain jacket, wind breaker, etc.) and dress in layers. On your feet, wear warm socks and shoes that are water-resistant or that you don't mind getting wet and dirty. Most of all, be sure to bring a water bottle! |
