01.15.2010: New Cyberknife at the JCC - coming soon!
Implementation of a new radiation technique is underway at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton with the acquisition of a new Cyberknife from Accuray. The radiation delivery with the Cyberknife is a non-invasive alternative to surgery, whereby a high dose X-ray is delivered with sub-millimeter accuracy to the tumour. The new Leica Multiphoton Confocal Microscope is now available in the Confocal and Imaging Facility room 1215 in the Science Complex. Vlad Zhukarev from Leica Microsystems will be present to demonstrate the new Leica TCS SP5 Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope and answer questions about possible applications. The new Bruker 800MHz NMR spectrometer is now online. To check out the pictures of the 800's birthday follow the Physics Lab link below. The exact birthday is December 1, 2006.
