Aaron Langille

Aaron Langille is a PhD student in the BioPhysics program, co-supervised by Jonathan Newman and John Gunn (Laurentian University). After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Computer Science followed by several years of software development and support experience, Aaron returned to the academic world.  In December of 2008 he completed his MSc. in BioPhysics at Guelph studying computer simulation models of seed dispersal and spatial dynamics of plant populations.  Currently he is investigating quasi-mechanistic simulation models of surface hydrology and their ability to improve our understanding of the pollution, remediation and flooding of urban streams.  In his "spare" time Aaron teaches undergraduate Compute Science courses at Laurentian University and contributes to the development of the Encyclopedia of Life.
