Campus Safe Walk is a student-run volunteer organisation dedicated to providing a safe and reliable escort after dark to people on campus, and helping to maintain the safety of the university community.|
At Safe Walk we:provide male/female teams and female/female teams to walk clients from anywhere on campus to any other on campus destination, including the cow path and the Arboretum.
patrol areas of campus such as South Residence, University libraries, and Raithby House.
act as additional 'eyes' and 'ears' for campus police, providing information on unsafe area, etc…
The University of Guelph Campus Safe Walk program was formed in 1991 as part of the Women's Campus Safety Initiative. It has since expanded to become a service available to all students, staff, faculty, and campus visitors. Since 1991 Safe Walk has walked over 10,000 clients!
Safe Walk is one of many services offered by the Central Student Association.
