Student Financial Services|
By Peter Landoni
The goal of most students is to remain as debt-free as possible. This means having the financial resources available to meet their educational and living expenses for the year. At the Student Financial Services Office we are available to help students reach this financial goal.
The Student Financial Services Offices administers a variety of financial services that include information on Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), scholarships, bursaries, emergency loans and student budget counseling. We administer the Work Study Program, which provides opportunities for students with financial need to work part time on campus. The office is also responsible for the billing and collection of student accounts, which includes tuition fees, residence and meal plans.
This is a loan program sponsored by the federal and provincial governments. An application is required. Our staff can assist in answering questions about your eligibility, your assessment, reviews and appeal of your OSAP assessment.
ONTARIO WORK STUDY PROGRAM
Part-time jobs for students based on financial need (most are located on campus). Application forms are available to students who encounter unexpected expenses and have demonstrated financial need. If a cash flow problem arises, emergency loans are also available for interim financing. Applications are available at the Student Financial Services Office. Watch the Ontarion for deadline dates.
For scholarship information refer to the Undergraduate Student Calendar.
