Perth Public Library

Perth Carnegie library corner entrance, c.1907.

Perth received a gift from Andrew Carnegie of $10,000 in February 1906. Construction began after a site on the corner of Gore Street was obtained. The library, designed in the Beaux Arts style and unusual for its corner entrance, opened in the following year.

Main floor: reference room, librarian's office, board room, reading room, ladies' reading room, children's room, periodicals room, stack room.
