Located in Room 2101 of the E.C. Bovey Building, this lab was completely renovated by us with the generous support of the Canadian Foundation for Innovation Infrastructure program. It houses several state-of-the-art Apple workstations grouped as a cluster via Xgrid and several peripheral devices. These machines connect directly to a dedicated Apple Xserve cluster and a RAID storage system housed in CCS and administered by SHARCNET . Thanks to Apple and SHARCNET for all the help in installation and support. The lab is outfitted beautifully thanks to Mayhew Workspaceworks!
Located in Room 1233 of the E.C. Bovey Building, this lab provides bench space for terrestrial ecological studies associated with the lab and includes computers, microscopes and other laboratory equipment and supplies.
This is a 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid in “Icy Blue” that feels like a cruise liner.
We have a modest and fairly perishable suite of field-ecological equipment for biodiversity monitoring and measurement, canopy cover estimation, soil analysis, tree corers, etc. The best buy so far have been hats with bug-repellant veils from a dollar store!
