Welcome to SETS; welcome to MAPS.

The SETS MA and PhD Society (MAPS) welcomes new and returning MA and PhD students to the School of English and Theatre Studies at the University of Guelph for the 2004-05 school year. Consider MAPS your collegial network, run by graduate students for graduate students: a resource for acquainting yourself with tactics for research, teaching and professional development in the School, and with the School's network of graduate students.

For MA students: you have a relatively brief enrollment period in which to become familiar with the School, its programs and faculty—a period of which MAPS can help incoming students make the most.
For PhD students: While you have a longer period in which to become familiar with the School, MAPS aims to assist you with networking and professional development.

MAPS also offers collegial leadership opportunities for graduate students at all levels.

PLEASE NOTE: MAPS will hold elections to establish the 2004-05 steering cell this coming September.
