25th Annual Larval Fish Conference
The National Marine Fisheries Service’s Howard Laboratory on Sandy Hook,
New Jersey, USA, is pleased to host the 25th Annual Larval Fish Conference
from August 8 through 13, 2001. This Conference, sponsored by the
Early Life History Section of the American Fisheries Society,
offers an international forum for the presentation
and discussion of research on all aspects of the early life history of
fishes. The theme chosen for this Silver Jubilee Conference -Transitions
in the early life history of fishes-- gives testimony to the many changes
in ecology, habitat, and behavior that occur during the interval from reproduction
through the egg, larval, and juvenile periods of the fish life cycle.
The Conference will also emphasize changes in how we think about and study
the early life-stages of fish.
