Carolyne Brikis, MSc. rep
Hi everyone! My name is Carolyne Brikis and I represent Plant Agriculture graduate students as the MSc representative for the graduate student liaison committee (GSLC) here at the University of Guelph. I am originally from Toronto but have lived for the past four years in Kingston, Ontario, completing my Bachelor of Science, Honours degree at Queen's University where I majored in biology. I started in Plant Agriculture here at UoG in the fall of 2010, with Drs. Barry Shelp and Gale Bozzo, working on the biochemical characterization of apple storage disorders. So far, being in this department has been a great experience and I love having the chance to be involved. My responsibilities as the GSLC MSc rep are:
- To act as a liaison between graduate students and faculty members
- To assist in the orientation and guidance of new graduate students
- To counsel any graduate student in need
- To organize fun events and bring the department together
