Welcome to another semester with PAC!

We have a few fun things to share with you! This semester's photo contest, for the first time in years, does not have a specific theme. So, you are welcome to submit a photograph of whatever you would like! Check out the contest section for rules and prizes!

We are currently looking for a new PAC executive student member, so please contact us if you are interested in becoming a part of our executive team.

Also, we will be turning our attention through a number of workshops to digital photography - so stay tuned and make sure to check your email for updates!
As always, please let us know if you would like to see a workshop that we have not yet offered.

Welcome back everyone! The campus is bustling and PAC is getting ready to start yet another year!

CSA Club Days will take place on Thursday Sept. 16 and Friday Sept 17th in the University Centre building! Come by our table to say hello, find out more about what we offer, or buy a membership! Our office hours will begin on Monday Sept. 20th - please check the INFO section for office hours closer to the date.

Hello present, past and future Photo Arts Club members! As the summer draws to a close, the Photo Arts Club executives are excited for the upcoming fall semester! We look forward to seeing some new and returning faces when we open after the CSA's Club Days.

If you haven't already heard, PAC recently acquired the equipment and chemicals necessary for colour printing from colour negatives (we still do not offer colour negative development). We're currently in the process of learning how to use this equipment ourselves, and from the preliminary trials, it seems simpler, in some ways, than black and white photo printing! We hope to learn how to use this equipment better within the coming weeks, and then offer a colour printing workshop sometime this fall.

The Photo Arts Club will be occupying a table during the CSA's Club Days, so come check us out and see what we have to offer!

Hello everyone! It has been decided that the Photo Arts Club will be open this summer! We will be deciding on our office hours soon, at which point they will be posted in the INFO section of the site.
Also, as you may or may not know, the Photo Arts Club recently acquired the necessary equipment/chemicals for colour printing! We as of yet do not have the capability to develop colour film, however we DO have the ability to print colour photographs. The Executive Members have attended a workshop on colour printing. We have yet to practice, but you can look forward to colour workshops in the upcoming fall 2010 semester.

The Photo Arts Club is ready to start a new semester! Firstly, happy new year everyone, and we hope that you've had fun and eventful breaks!

The CSA CLUB DAYS will be Thursday January 21st and Friday the 22nd in the University Centre courtyard. The Photo Arts Club will be participating in Club Days, come by to purchase your W10 membership! We will be posting our availability during Club Days within the next week.

Our office hours (as posted in INFO) will begin after Club Days.

In other news, the W10 Photo CONTEST has been announced! This semester's theme is "PEOPLE"! Submit your photos by the end of the semester!

The Photo Arts Club is ready to start the Fall semester! We're taking part in the CSA's Club days on September 17th and 18th. You can find us at table 23, next to the Post Office/Convenience Store in the UC. Come by to see what we offer and to join!

We have also announced our Fall 2009 Photo Contest, whose theme is "ACUTE"! Submit your photos by the last Monday before classes end, then come to our Pizza Social in the PAClub office. Details to follow!

The Photo Arts Club has kept its doors open for the summer, for the first time in quite a few years! We've had a handful of fantastic members who have been with us this summer, and now we're gearing up for the start of the fall semester!

In the fall semester, we hope to attract greater membership through advertising in the Ontarion as well as posting posters across campus and taking part in the CSA's Club Days, which will take place in the fall semester (the date is yet to be announced by the CSA).

Your PAC execs have come together for a unanimous decision to order seamless paper for the studio backdrop! It's been a long time coming, we agree, but it's finally here. It will be mounted hopefully by the end of this week. There will be three rolls to start, white gray and black.

There are some guidelines for the use of the seamless paper:

- Please do not wear dirty/outdoor shoes on the paper; please clean your shoes!
- Please do not attempt to change the roll by yourself! Ask an EXEC for help. The mechanism is simple, but at least two people are required.
- Please treat the paper as you would want to be treated! Try to avoid tearing the paper. It is quite expensive!
- Please do not unroll excessive amounts of paper. Little tears are OK and can be photoshopped out, but if you feel you must unroll more paper, please do so with discretion.
- Have fun!!!

If you are interested in getting a membership but cannot make it out to Club Days, please contact us either by email or in person during one of our regularly scheduled office hours.

The Winter 2008 Photo Contest (theme "Curves") has ended! Judging was completed today and the first, second and third place winners have been chosen! Come to the PAClub social on Thursday April 3rd at 6:30pm in the PAC office for FREE pizza and drinks, and to find out who won!

This semester's photo contest is themed CURVES! Make sure to submit your photo that exemplifies this theme!

Hello there! You've made it to the Photo Arts Club official website! This is the first time in history that PAC has a website. It's brand new, so please be patient with the bugs and links that go no where. They will be fixed ASAP!
