Please find below instructions for the Council Scoutree Program and the 
issuing of charitable donation receipts.
 
I ask that you share this information with your Area Scout Groups and
Scoutree Coordinators.
 
SCOUTREE TAX RECEIPTS:
 
(1) We only provide tax receipts for amounts of $20 and over.
 
(2) We require the information to be sent by the Group Commissioner or
	Treasurer confirming the funds have been received.
 
(3) We require a fully completed Donors address or receipts will not be
	issued.
 
(4) The tax receipts are not completed in the same time frame as other
	donations received and may take up to 90 days to be mailed.
 
(5) Our Scout Councils Year End is August 31.
 
(6) We only issue tax receipts for donations that are received in the
	taxation year and clearly postmarked not later then December 31st.
 
FUNDRAISING PROGRAM:  Groups participating in a Scoutree Fundraising 
	Program receive their crests free once the report is provided to 
	the Central Ontario Office.

	The Group retains 70% of the funds raised and 30% is forwarded 
	with their report.  We then forward 15% to the Scout National 
	Worldwide Brotherhood Fund and 15% is retained in the Council to
	cover costs for the operation of their Scoutree Council Program.
 
NOTE: Those who wish to purchase crests only may do so for $1 each and
	provide a cheque for the total crests required payable to Scouts
	Canada and sent to the address below.
