This study is part of the Canada-China Higher Education Program project entitled "Environmental Training for Integrated Monitoring and Management in the Coastal Zone of Hainan Province, China" financed by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA Project No. 27159). The Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) (Grant to IPM), University of Guelph, Key Laboratory of Coast and Island Development, and the University of Nanjing, provided additional financial support. The Government of Hainan Province provided some field transportation. Salaries, office and research facilities were provided by CIDA, the University of Guelph and the Nanjing University. |
