Background
I
have been involved with educational development in higher
education for over 20 years, in a variety of settings, including
working at the the University of Guelph since 1998. I currently
work as the Director of Teaching Support Services.
Previously,
I worked as a social worker, helping those with barriers to
the workplace to overcome them through personal and professional
development as well access to technological and access tools.
My
philosophy of my work, be it as an educator or as a social
worker, can best be summarised as follows:
"Provide
every opportunity for success, including the opportunity NOT
to."
