Command-and-Control Strategies
Every jurisdiction in the world makes use of direct command-and-control
regulations,
hence this section does not attempt to provide a complete list of links.
By using
the link to environmental agencies of the world on the
Policy Homepage you can pick a country and find
their regulations. If you find one that is particularly interesting (good
or bad) please
e-mail me.
The links here illustrate technology restrictions (BC), and effluent
restrictions and uniform resource use limits (Ontario). The link to Latin
America is an interesting example of how conventional regulation is being
re-thought in the light of environmental economics.
