Dr. Stewart Hilts is Director of the Centre.
Dr. Michael Goss holds the research Chair in Land Stewardship.
The Centre also sponsored the work of the formerStewardship Information
Bureau. The Bureau was closed in 1997, but its web page is still
accessible.
Current major projects include research on nutrient management in agriculture and impacts of farming practices on groundwater, and the development of an integrated 'Master Steward' Program for rural landowners.
Major funding has been received from Agriculture and Agrifood Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Richard Ivey Fund, the Branscombe Family Foundation, as well as many other sources.
