The University of Guelph Ukrainian Students’ Club (UGUSC) is was formed in Fall 2006 by a group of university students who came to the U of G, saddened that the Ukrainian club in Guelph had fallen inactive.

Since regrouping UGUSC has organized and participated in many events both on campus and in the general Ukrainian community. This includes our greatly anticipated and upcoming CRYSTAL CUP “КРИШТАЛЕВА ЧАША” SOCCER TOURNAMENT on October 4th, 2008 (check soccer tourney page).

Other past and upcoming events include participation in an INTERNATIONAL Holodomor (Ukrainian Famine) awareness effort, painting the cannon, kolyada (caroling), malanka (Ukrainian New Year celebration), pub nights, SUSK Congress, pysanky (Ukrainian easter egg) writing workshops, One World Multicultural Show, and Peace Week 2008.

UGUSC is a student-run organization that aims to unite Ukrainians at the University of Guelph and other institutions. It aspires to hold up the Ukrainian culture, history, and language through the organization and participation in numerous events at the U of G and other nearby communities. UGUSC is a member of the Ukrainian Canadian Students’ Union (SUSK).
