William Darling

I am a PhD student candidate in the School of Computer Science at the University of Guelph. I work in the Natural Language Processing lab and my advisor is Prof. Fei Song. Before this, I studied physics at Trent University (H.B.Sc.) and the University of Leeds, and law at McGill University (LL.B., B.C.L.).

I am interested in natural language processing and machine learning and my research involves building structured probabilistic content and syntax models of documents and document collections to perform tasks such as automatic text summarization, language modelling, collaborative filtering, etc.
