The following is the way the data are stored
in monthly PRN files.
Please note this data has NOT been checked for
errors.
Each month is divided into four sections. (Hourly,
0800, 1600 & Rain)
There is a blank line between each line.
The letters refer to the column letter in a
spreadsheet.
The numbers are the element number.
The 0800 Max & Min values are from 1600 yesterday
to 0800 today.
The 1600 Max & Min values are from 0800
today to 1600 today.
This gives a daytime value and an overnight
value.
0 hrs is hour 2400 of the day before.

SOME PROBLEMS WITH ERS DATA (not all) Over range values are shown as 6999 or 9999 in the data set. Rain record is not reliable during winter months. The tipping bucket may be covered. Datalogger Nov 14/98, 2200hrs to Nov 17/98, 1500 hrs, the datalogger failed. July 11/00 0800 to 1400 EST data lost, datalogger changed.
