University of Guelph Data Resource Center (GTI)
The following is the way the GTI data are stored
on monthly PRN files.
NOTE: This data has
not
been
checked for errors.
Each month is divided into six sections. (Hourly,
0800, 1600, 2400, short circuit volts & Rain)
There is a blank line between each line.
The letters refer to the column letter in a spreadsheet.
The numbers are the element number.

WIND
Wind Speed & Direction is not working from
July 28/95, 1400 hrs (209) to Sept 1/95 (244)
Sept 1/95 to June 10/96 Wind Direction is wrong.
When Wind Direction was repaired, the direction sensor
was wired incorrectly. As a result the values are a mirror image
of the correct direction on the N-S axis.
0 , 360, 180 deg are correct.
90 deg should be 270 deg & 270 deg should be 90 deg.
10 deg should be 350 deg & 350 should be 10.
150 deg should be 210 deg .....
To correct subtract the printed direction from 360
e.g for 150 deg, the correct direction is 360 - 150 = 210
June 10/96, between 08 & 09 EST Wind Direction corrected.
Aug 15/00 (Day 228), 2300 to Sept 18/00
(Day 262), 1500
