COESP TRAVEL, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT AWARD

Award Description:

COESP Training, Travel and Development Awards are funds available from COESP to defray costs for a variety of professional learning opportunities related to Teaching and Learning. These may include, but are not limited to, conference travel and registration, training session travel and registration, or other professional memberships or learning opportunities. The application is available through a Qualtrics survey linked here.

Award Values:

  • up to $500 - Local (within Ontario)
  • up to $650 - National or International

Award Eligibility – College of Biological Science:

  • Undergraduate Students
  • Graduate Students
  • Postdocs
  • Sessional Instructors
  • Staff
  • Faculty

Award Requirements:

  • On the application form, applicants are asked to provide a short, 250-word (max.), rationale for attending the conference or training session, or other experience, and an indication of need for the award
  • Awardees are requested to share something they have learned from the funded experience through brief communications with the COESP community, e.g. through social media or other forms of presentation

Award Deadlines:

  • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis (May 1 to April 30)
  • Funds must be used by the end of April each year (end of fiscal year)
