Once you've received an offer of admission to the University of Guelph, it's time to apply for residence!
Secure your space by completing the residence application and submitting the $750 CAD residence deposit by November 15, 2024 (winter entry) or June 2, 2025 (fall entry).

U of G's Residence Guarantee
International undergraduate students beginning their studies in 2025 are guaranteed university housing for the duration of their academic endeavours at U of G. First-year students who reside outside of Ontario, Canada and do not pay international fees (including Canadian citizens and permanent residents) are guaranteed residence for their first year of studies.
To be eligible, you must accept your offer to the University of Guelph, apply to residence, and pay the $750 CAD residence deposit by November 15, 2024 (winter entry) or June 2, 2025 (fall entry).

Our communities
U of G has different residence communities designed to match your lifestyle and preferences. Whether you're looking for a traditional dorm experience or an apartment with more independence, our three residence areas have you covered.
South Residences
U of G's South Residence is the largest residence complex in Canada. Home to over 1,800 students each year, three interconnected halls feature single, double and triple occupancy rooms. You'll enjoy easy access to laundry, a 24-hour residence desk, and two dining halls within the building.
South campus also contains Gordon Hall, our newest residence featuring queen-sized beds and ensuite washrooms.

East Residences
East area residences offer apartment or townhouse living with all units including a kitchen, living room, and dining room shared with 4-12 fellow students. Located conveniently across from our state-of-the-art Athletic Centre, East residences have easy access to Eastside Variety, a nearby convenience store stocked with all your essentials.

North Residences
North campus includes six residence buildings, each with their own unique charm. North residences offer traditional single, double, triple and quad rooms, in addition to Lambton Hall which also contains suite-style accommodations.
All north residences are steps away from two dining halls and have amenities including in-building laundry, lounges, study rooms, and more.

Canada's food university
U of G students enjoy the best campus food in Canada. Our chefs are committed to creating high-quality, delicious meals that focus on international flavour using local ingredients.
Meal plans are required in all residences except east residences where full kitchens are provided. We can accommodate all dietary restrictions including gluten-free, vegetarian, and halal.
Your meal plan preference is indicated on your residence application and can be modified until you arrive in the fall.
