The Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance has partnered with Food from Thought [1], funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) program, to support the Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP) Scholarship Program [2]. The partnership will host a recognition event on Wed. Dec. 7, 2022, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the University of Guelph Arboretum Centre.

The purpose of the event is to celebrate this partnership with Food from Thought, to highlight the achievements of the 2021/22 HQP Scholars, and to announce the 2022/23 HQP Scholars.

The event will provide an opportunity for the 2021/22 HQP Scholars to present their industry-partner work completed through the Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Agri-Food Systems course delivered in partnership with the Arrell Food Institute at the University of Guelph [3], and to network with OMAFRA and key industry partners who recognize the HQP Scholarship Program’s role in supporting the development of tomorrow’s agri-food leaders.

The event agenda will be provided prior to the event.
