“Cover crops can be good for reducing emissions but sometimes they can lead to an increase in nitrous oxide,” said Dr. Kira Borden [1], holder of a Banting Post-doctoral Fellowship [2] in the Ontario Agricultural College [3]’s School of Environmental Sciences [4] (SES). “Our work is trying to uncover why we see differences given those various factors.”
