Studio Art BA | College of Arts

Studio Art BA

Traditional practices meet new technologies in a rigorous creative environment.

You will paint, draw, sculpt and then can animate, sync sound to video and design projects for 3D printing – sometimes all in the same day. Prepare for professional life in the arts through our galleries, workspaces, and networks; on and off-campus. No portfolio required for admission.

Experience

  • Room for creativity, across our extensive facilities. In your final year, you can have your own dedicated studio space in specialized studio. Work on your project’s day or night with 24/7 building access.
  • Our community of practicing faculty, and technicians will be by your side as you explore your artistic interests in classrooms with only 18 students.
  • Display your talent, as part of the weekly exhibitions in our Zavitz Gallery, off-campus at the Boarding House Galley, or in the annual Juried Art Show.
  • Gain workplace experience through experiential learning in galleries, museums and studios.
  • No portfolio requirement. To ensure access and equity for all applicants, your grades are used to determine admission.
