Congratulations to Stephen Henighan and Candace Johnson for the publication of their book Human and Environmental Justice in Guatemala.

Human and Environmental Justice in Guatemala  (University of Toronto Press) is an interdisciplinary book examining political, judicial and artistic repercussions of Guatemala's history of persistent injustice, and attempts to express and remedy these problems.  It is co-edited by  Profs. Stephen Henighan (SOLAL) and Candace Johnson (CSAHS), each of whom contributed one chapter to the book, and who co-wrote another chapter together.  Stephen Henighan translated one chapter from Spanish.  Two other chapters were translated from Spanish by Lisa Maldonado, a SOLAL alumna.

One contributor, Helen Mack Chang, is the recipient of a doctorate honoris causa from the University of Guelph. Various contributors coordinated, studied in, or gave lectures in, the University of Guelph/University of Saskatchewan Latin American Semester in Antigua Guatemala.
