Current Student Information
Beginning in the Fall Semester 2006, the School of English and Theatre Studies offers a revised Theatre Studies curriculum with new requirements for graduation. Faculty, staff and students were involved in the process of curricular review and we believe our revitalized curriculum is well positioned to meet the challenges of studying theatre in the twenty-first century.
Students who are currently enrolled in the Honours Program and who have declared Theatre Studies as a major or minor, and those for whom Theatre Studies is an area of concentration in the General Program, may choose between the following two options:
- graduate under the terms of the Undergraduate Calendar which was in effect at the time they were admitted to the program
- graduate under the new requirements for graduation as outlined in the revised curriculum (inaugurated in September 2006)
In-course students who opt to graduate under the new curriculum should notify the B.A. Counselling Office of this decision. Students are also urged to seek the assistance of the counsellors in the B.A. Counselling Office regarding their program and academic regulations, selecting courses, services and resources available on campus, and when they are experiencing difficulties that affect their academic progress. The e-mail address for the B.A. Counselling Office is:firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students are encouraged to seek the advice of the faculty advisors in the Theatre Studies Program when declaring a major, area of concentration, or minor, regarding course scheduling, and completing the requirements of the specializations.
