Robert Allan

Robert Allan is an artist-creator-professor, bringing with him 17 years’ experience teaching musical theatre, dance, choreography, and acting. He had a long career as a dancer and choreographer in Canadian musical theatre companies, and continues to have strong connections with the performance industry both as a researcher, a policy maker, and a sought-after guest artist.

Robert is passionate about inclusive and anti-oppressive musical theatre education. His research, his classrooms, and his values as a human all work in tandem through his work at Univeristy of Guelph. Currently, his research aims are to discover new pedagogies, curriculum, and methods of inclusive musical theatre education to support community wellness.
