Please Read Carefully!

Once a Schedule of Studies is published, the University does not go back and “fix it” when courses are deleted or changed. To help you keep track of what you need to graduate, changes to your Schedule of Studies are listed below. Some students find it useful to review these changes with a copy of their Program/Academic Evaluation in front of them. This way you can mark off what you have completed and what you still need to complete. Please note that substitutions won’t always show up on your Program/Academic Evaluation. If you find errors on your Program/Academic Evaluation, or if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your Program Counsellor.

Changes are listed for each major:

Changes for Environmental Management

ENVS 2340 is no longer offered. You must complete an extra 0.50 credits from List A as a substitution. This means you must complete a total of 6.50 restricted electives, 3.50 from List A if you have not completed ENVS 2340. 

ACCT 2220 will become ACCT 1220 in the 2016-2017 Undergraduate Calendar. 

ENVM 1020 has been replaced with ENVS 2080. This is effective Winter 2018.

BUS 2090 is now HROB 2090.

Restricted Elecitives:

ENVS 3190 is being deleted and will be replaced by ENVS 3220 (first offered Fall 2016). You may take ENVS 3220 as restricted elective.

EDRD 3400 will change to a Winter offering. It has been cancelled for Fall 2016, then next offered Winter 2018.

EDRD 4500 is no longer being offered. Please watch your 4000 level requirements from List A; there are quite a lot that require prerequisites that you will have to plan to take instead of this course. 

ENVS 3250 will not be offered Fall 2017.

ENVS 3000 is cancelled for Winter 2018. It should be offered Winter 2019. 

ENVS 4070 is cancelled for Winter 2018. It should be offered Winter 2019. ENVS 4070 is now PBIO 4070.

Changes for Equine Management

ACCT 2220 will become ACCT 1220 in the 2016-2017 Undergraduate Calendar. 

AGR 2030 has been deleted and will not be offered Fall 2017. You will take CROP 3340 (Managed Grasslands) Fall 2018 as a substitution. You may not use CROP 3340 as a restricted elective as it is now a core course. 

BUS 2090 is now HROB 2090.

EDRD 3400 will change to a Winter offering. It has been cancelled for Fall 2016, then next offered Winter 2018.

EQN 2040 is moving from a Fall offering to a Winter offering. It will last be offered in Fall in 2016. It will first be offered in Winter in 2017.

EQN 3500 is moving from a Winter offering to a Fall offering. It will last be offered in Winter in 2018. It will first be offered in Fall in 2019. Update: this course will change to a 4000 level course (EQN 4500) when is moves to the Fall semester. 

EQN 3070 is moving from a Winter offering to a Fall offering. It will not be offered in a Winter semester. It will first be offered in Fall in 2017 which means you will move EQN 3070 from Winter 2019 and put it in your schedule for Fall 2018.

EQN 4400 is moving from a Winter offering to a Fall offering. It will last be offered in Winter 2017. It will first be offered in Fall in 2017 which means you will move EQN 4400 from Winter 2019 and put it in your schedule for Fall 2018.

EQN 4020 is changing its name to “Advanced Equine Nutrition”, effective Winter 2018.

A new course, EQN 3150: Equine Exercise Physiology Lab, has been added to the new curriculum but it will be offered early to give you the opportunity to take it while you are here. This is a companion lab to EQN 3050 (and must be taken after or with EQN 3050). It will first be offered Winter 2018 and will count as a restricted science elective (list 1) for you.

ANSC 3090 is a new course starting Winter 2019. It's called "Vertebrate Ethology" and looks at animal behaviour. This course will eventually become a prerequisite for ANSC 4090 (Applied Animal Behaviour). ANSC 3090 can be used as a science restricted elective (list 1).
