All Students – Tips on When to Check Availability

Posted on Thursday, June 21st, 2018

Some courses have rolling enrollment. This means they are slowly releasing spots. This is true for most first year courses and a select number of upper years courses.

Courses are monitored by departments throughout the week (during weekdays), so if a course fills up, be assured that it is being monitored and spots will be opened if there are more available. Note that when you are likely selecting (at night!) conflicts with our work hours (most of us leave work around 4:30pm). This may sometimes mean that spaces fill up overnight when students are selecting and staff members are not monitoring spaces in courses. Around 8:30am is when staff are available to review the overnight course selection and at that point, will open more spaces if they are able to. If you find courses are full, I recommend you check the next day (Monday, if it's a Friday) to see if more spaces have become available.

Please contact me (Melinda) if you are still unable to work out your schedule after checking back on WebAdvisor. Spots will not likely be released in July (most spots will be open by then), so first year students please contact Melinda if you still need a spot in a course. Upper years, please contact the instructor of the course to see if you are able to be signed in.
