First Day of Classes

First Years - Orientation Event Reminder

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 3rd for the Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management Program Meeting. The meeting starts at 2:30pm in MacKinnon 223. Staff, faculty and students will be on hand to welcome you and give you an overview of your program. Plan to attend!

Drop In Hours - Fall Semester Start Up

From September 2nd to September 12th, Melinda, your Program Counsellor, will have drop in hours (instead of appointments). Drop in hours are times when you can ask questions about your courses in the order you arrive during the drop in times. There will be a sign up sheet for each time slot that will be made available 15 minutes prior to the start of the drop in time.

Monday September 1: Holiday- Office Closed

Tuesday September 2: Drop In 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Wednesday September 3: Not Available

Full Courses - Incoming First Year Students

Courses are filling up quickly so if you are having troubles finding sections that work, please contact me, Melinda (, if you run into troubles.

I also encourage you to keep checking on WebAdvisor for spaces that become available. The schedules are in flux right now so you may find a section that works an hour after there were none!

ENVS 1030 will not be opening new sections. so please contact me if you still need it.

Regular Office Hours Begin Next Week

Our Summer Office Hours will end this week and our office doors will be open Mondays to Thursdays from 10am to 3pm and Fridays from 10am to 12pm starting on Monday, August 18th.

Course Registration - Fall Semester

Course Registration for the Fall Semester will open on August 18th at midnight. If you did not pay your $200 deposit on or before August 8th, your courses will be removed from your schedule. The Registrar's Office will notify you via email if you were deregistered from your courses. You must pay this deposit before you can add courses to your schedule again. It is your responsibility to add your courses back to your schedule on WebAdvisor if you have been deregistered; your previous space is not guaranteed.

Missed a Final Exam or Final Assignment? - Summer Semester

If you have missed a final exam or a final assignment, please contact the Program Counselling Office (Johnston Hall, 133A or ext. 54800) to discuss your options. You have five days after the missed exam or assignment deadline to submit a request for a deferred privilege, so please contact the office as soon as you are able. If you are unable to contact the office due to extreme circumstances, please take care of yourself first and then contact the office.

Reminder: $200 Deposit Due August 8th

Student Financial Services is your primary contact for all student account questions including tuition and payment deadlines, but this needs to be repeated: Remember to pay the $200 deposit by August 8 (earlier if using electronic payment). Warning: The Registrar's Office can and will deregister you from your courses if you do not make this payment and there is no guarantee you will be able to get back into your courses once you pay the deposit. For those of you who have not yet selected courses, you must pay the deposit prior to registering for courses.

Exams - Summer Semester

The Summer 2014 Final Examination Period runs from August 7th to August 15th.

You may view your final examination locations on WebAdvisor, on the Office of Registrarial Services website or on the hard-copy posting located at the Office of Registrarial Services on the third floor of the University Centre. 

If you miss an exam or are unable to complete a final assignment, please contact the Program Counselling Office.
