Please note that the last day of classes is April 7th and the exam period will begin on April 10th (ending April 24th). Good luck on exams!
All graduation applications have been processed. If you were not contacted by me, your application has been moved to "Tentative". This means you have all the correct courses and the right amount of credits; all that is left is for you to successfully complete your current courses and have a 60% cumulative average. Enjoy the rest of the semester and good luck on exams!
Please check your Gryph Mail for an invitation to complete the University of Guelph High Impact Practice Survey.
The University of Guelph aims for students to experience at least two high impact practices (such as undergraduate research and study abroad opportunities) by graduation, as these experiences positively contribute to student success.
With course selection now closed, our office will return to our usual process for meeting with me. Starting on Tuesday, March 28th you have two options for meeting with me: you can either come to my weekly drop in hours or book an appointment in advance. Drop in hours will be on Mondays from 12:00pm–1:00pm and on Tuesdays from 11:30am–12:30pm. These are hours where I will see students in the order they arrive during that time. Appointments are booked at least a day in advance and are booked by talking to Carie.
March 27th is the last day of this course registration period. The next add period will open May 10th and end May 19th. You can change your Summer and Fall courses during this time. If you are changing your Summer courses, please be aware of the exam schedule and do not schedule yourself into a conflict.
Just a reminder that I still have appointment and drop in times for course selection.
If you would like to sit down with me for an appointment please come to Johnston Hall 133A and sign up for a 15 minute time slot on the sheets provided. I ask that you only have one sign up time during this course selection period so others can have a chance to sign up as well. Please note that you must book your appointment time before we close the day before the appointment. No same day appointments will be booked unless it is an emergency.
Many courses are doing what is called “rolling enrollment”. This means they are opening spots throughout the course selection period with hopes of giving students with later selection windows equal opportunity to add courses. If a course is full and the cap looks suspiciously low, they are likely using the rolling enrollment system.
Friday, March 10th is the 40th Class Day. This is the last day to drop Winter 2017 classes without academic penalty.
The FARE department has restricted access to FARE 3310 to only those that require it as a core course. Students who wish to take it as restricted elective will be given special consideration and must email their name, ID number, program and request to be put on the waiting list to Kathryn Selves (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Update- EQN 4400 has moved it's time to correct the conflict with ANSC 4090, with hopefully mininal impact to other conflicts.
Original Message - Thanks to those of you expressing concern with the conflict of ANSC 4090 and EQN 4400. While no guarantees can be made, a solution to this is being investigated. I hope to have an update soon.
