Drop In Hours and Booking Appointments with Melinda

Starting on Monday, January 15th you have two options for meeting with me. You can either come to my drop in hours or book an appointment in advance. Drop in hours will be on Mondays from 12:00pm – 1:00pm and on Tuesdays from 11:30am – 12:30pm. These are hours where I will see students in the order they arrive during that time. Appointments are booked at least a day in advance and are booked by talking to Carie.

Reminder – Last Day to Add W18 Classes is January 12th

Please note that Friday, January 12th is the last day to add classes for Winter 2018. Permission to add late is not guaranteed as the policy states that permission will only be granted in exceptional circumstances (illness or compassionate grounds for missing all or part of the first three class days; interchanging courses with common lectures, one with and one without labs; late resolution of appeals; failure of a deferred course condition or examination; university errors in registration procedures), so please make sure you have all of your courses added by Friday. 

Drop In Hours for the First Week of Classes – Winter Semester

During the first week of classes (and the Thursday before classes start), I will be holding drop in hours to help answer questions you have about course selection. These are first come, first worked with, hours. Sign up sheets will be available just prior to the start of the drop in time. All drop in hours are held in Johnston Hall, room 133A (OAC Program Counselling Office).

Wednesday January 3, 2018 – Drop In 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Thursday January 4, 2018 – No availability

Friday January 5, 2018 – No availability

Weekly Drop in Hours Have Ended for Fall Semester

Weekly drop in hours have ended for the semester. They will resume January 15th, 2018. I am still available for appointments this week so please call Carie (ext 54800) to book an appointment. Carie is available during our open door hours (Mon-Thurs 10am-3pm, Fri 10am-12pm). 

Final Grades – Fall Semester

Final grades will be posted on WebAdvisor on Friday, December 22nd (through out the day as they are processed). 

Missed Final Assignment or Final Exam? – Fall Semester

If you have missed a final exam or a final assignment, please contact the Program Counselling Office (Johnston Hall, 133A or ext. 54800) to discuss your options. You have five working days after the missed exam or final assignment deadline to submit a request for a deferred privilege, so please contact the office as soon as you are able. If you are unable to contact the office due to extreme circumstances, please take care of yourself first and then contact the office. 

Last Day of Classes and Start of Exams – Fall Semester

Please note that the last day of classes is December 1st and the exam period will begin on December 4th. Good luck on exams! As a reminder, Thursday, November 30th is for classes rescheduled from Tuesday, October 10th and is a Tuesday schedule. Friday, December 1st is for classes rescheduled from Monday, October 9th and is a Monday schedule.

Reminder of Course Add Period – Winter Semester

The course Add Period runs from December 11th, 2017 to January 12th 2018. During this time you can add and drop courses for the Winter 2018 semester. Please keep in mind the exam schedule will be posted; you must not enroll in courses which have an exam conflict.
