Missed Final Assignment or Final Exam? – Winter Semester

If you have missed a final exam or a final assignment, please contact the Program Counselling Office (Johnston Hall, 133A or ext. 54800) during open door hours (Monday-Thursday 10:00am-3:00pm; Friday 10:00am-12:00pm) to discuss your options. You have five working days after the missed exam or final assignment deadline to submit a request for a deferred privilege, so please contact the office as soon as you are able. If you are unable to contact the office due to extreme circumstances, please take care of yourself first and then contact the office. 

Reminder - Last day to drop is Friday

Friday, March 22nd is the last day to drop a class without academic penalty. This means if you drop by this date, the course will not show on your transcript. If you want to discuss dropping a course, please come in and see me.

Drop In Cancelled - Feb 21 and 22

Drop in hours for February 21st and February 22nd are cancelled. I am out of the office February 20th- 22nd (inclusive) and will not be on email during this time. 

Applying to Graduate

For those of you who are going to complete your courses in April, you need to apply to graduate by February 15th, 2019 to avoid a late penalty. You would have already received an email from the Registrar’s Office with instructions if you will complete 20.00 credits this semester. Please refer to the information on the graduation webpage for more information about the process (under "Current Students", select "Graduation" on the right hand side).

Meet Your Major Event for First Year Students

All first year students are invited to join faculty advisors from all three majors to learn more about each major and the process of declaring your major.

This event will be held from 5:30pm-6:20pm Monday, January 28th in Peter Clark Hall (in the basement of the University Centre). Information about how to declare your major will be covered at the start of the meeting, so please plan to be there for 5:30pm.

Drop In Hours and Booking Appointments with Melinda

Starting the week of January 14th you have two options for meeting with me. You can either come to my drop in hours or book an appointment in advance.

Drop in hours will be:

Mondays 12:00pm-2:00pm

Tuesdays 10:00am-12:00pm

Thursdays 1:30pm-2:30pm

Fridays 11:30am-12:00pm

I no longer have to cancel Monday, January 14th due to a jury summons.
