Reminder of Drop in Hours and Booking Appointments with Melinda

During the course selection time period, I am available for appointments and drop ins. If you would like to sit down with me for an appointment please come to Johnston Hall 133A and sign up for a 15 minute time slot on the sheets provided. I ask that you only have one sign up time during this course selection period so others can have a chance to sign up as well. Please note that you must book your appointment time before we close the day before the appointment. No same day appointments will be booked unless it is an emergency.

FARE 1400 - Winter Semester

FARE 1400 is currently full, but the department is working on opening spaces today. Please check WebAdvisor often for availability in this class and others (as BIOL 1090 and CHEM 1050 continue to open new spaces daily).

CHEM 1050 - Winter Semester

CHEM 1050 should be opening new sections today in lecture and lab times that do not conflict with FARE 1400. The department is monitoring numbers carefully and are fully aware that B.Sc.(Agr.) students are limited in their section choice. Because of this, the department is looking into plans to slowly release spaces over the next few days. I encourage you to check WebAdvisor often to see the availability of those sections. I apologize that I can not give you an exact timing of when the spaces will be opened as it will depend on movement in the other sections.

BIOL 1090 - Winter Semester

The 8:30am lecture section of BIOL 1090 will open new sections today. The department is monitoring numbers carefully and are fully aware that this is the only section that works for B.Sc.(Agr.) students. Because of this, the department plans to slowly release spaces over the next few days. I encourage you to check WebAdvisor often to see the availability of this section. I apologize that I can not give you an exact timing of when the spaces will be opened as it will depend on movement in the 3:30pm lecture section. I appreciate your patience during this time.

This is to announce a change for the academic advising of the Animal Science major in the B.Sc. (Agr.) program starting Fall 2013. Dr. Steve Miller is stepping down as the Faculty Advisor for the Animal Science major and Dr. Ira Mandell has kindly volunteered to add that role to his current role of advising the Animal Biology majors in the B.Sc. program. Please join me in thanking Steve for filling that role and welcoming Ira to his new role.
