If you have missed a final exam or a final assignment, please contact the Program Counselling Office (Johnston Hall, 133A or ext. 54800) to discuss your options. You have five days after the missed exam or assignment deadline to submit a request for a deferred privilege, so please contact the office as soon as you are able. If you are unable to contact the office due to extreme circumstances, please take care of yourself first and then contact the office.
The Summer 2013 Final Examination Period runs from August 8th to August 16th.
You may view your final examination locations on WebAdvisor, on the Office of Registrarial Services website or on the hard-copy posting located at the Office of Registrarial Services on the third floor of the University Centre.
If you miss an exam or are unable to complete a final assignment, please contact the Program Counselling Office.
Student Financial Services is your primary contact for payment deadlines, but August 9th must be highlighted: this is when your $200 deposit is due. It can not be stressed enough the importance of paying this deposit. The Registrar's Office will deregister you from your courses if you do not make this payment and there is no guarantee you will be able to get back into your courses once you pay the deposit.
The next opportunity to add courses to your fall schedule is on Monday, August 19th, 2013. This Add Period will remain open until Friday, September 13th, 2013. When selecting courses during this Add Period be sure to check for exam conflicts. Students must not enrol in courses with conflicting exams (exams which are at the same time on the same day).
The last day to drop classes without academic penalty (the 40th class day) is Friday, July 5th, 2013 for the summer semester. Please contact your Program Counsellor before this date if you think you may need to drop a summer course.
Course selection for first year students has closed. The Add Period will run from August 19th, 2013 to September 13th, 2013; students can add and drop courses during the Add Period for the Fall semester.
Yes, students entering their first semester in the fall will only be taking four courses! For the B.Sc.(Agr.) degree program students are required to take a course worth 1.00 credits (you will see in the Registration Handbook that AGR*1110 is highlighted as that course). This course, in addition to the other three courses each worth 0.50 credits, will give you a total of 2.50 credits which gives you full-time registration (noted in the first paragraph of the Registration Handbook).
Welcome new students! Congratulations on your decision to join the University of Guelph family.
Any important news about course selection will be posted on this website, so please check back if you have a question to see if it is addressed here. If not, please contact Melinda Vanryn (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your questions.
Be sure to follow the instructions for course selection in the Registration Handbook for New Students (currently being mailed out by the Registrar’s Office). You have until July 2nd to add courses.
