Update for incoming students: The BIOL 1070 sections that fit in your schedule with your other courses are currently full. The department is aware of this conflict. They should open more spots in the sections that work for you soon. Please keep checking - on Friday (June 6th) after noon or on Monday (June 9th) after noon. I will re-post here on Monday with an upate. Thank you for your patience with this process!
Incoming BSc. (Env.) students: Here is some insight into how first year courses are monitored by departments, and why this might conflict with the time of day when many of you are selecting courses. Many University staff leave work before 5:00pm - just when course selection is really getting started by students getting home from school or work. This may sometimes mean that spaces fill up overnight when students are selecting courses - and staff are not monitoring spaces in courses.
All students entering their first semester of the B.Sc. (Env.) program this fall (2014) will only be taking four courses!
For the B.Sc.(Env.) degree program, students are required to take a course worth 1.00 credits (ENVS*1030 is highlighted as that course in the Registration Handbook). This course, in addition to the other three courses listed in the Registration Handbook (each worth 0.50 credits), will give you a total of 2.50 credits, which is full-time registration at the University of Guelph.
Just a reminder that the Summer semester Add Period Ends tomorrow - Friday, May 16th!
The next opportunity for in-course students to register for courses on webadvisor for Fall 2014 will be from June 2nd to June 6th.
The Add Period for Fall 2014 is from August 18th to September 12th.
