Richard Pound (Chair)

Richard Pound, currently an International Olympic Committee member, is recognized as an industry leader in Canadian sport business. Throughout his extensive career that ranges more than a half-century in length, Richard has made a notable contribution to the business of sport and has been named to Time Magazine's 100 most influential people list. Other career highlights include acting as Vice President of the IOC for two terms, holding the position of President of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) from 1977-1982, being the founding President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and being inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame as both an athlete and a builder in sport. Pound currently remains very active in the global sport and national legal landscapes and is considered a leader with high ethical standards and a champion for fair play, doping free sport, and the tenets of the Olympic Charter.
